We've been on a series now for a number of weeks.

I think this is part 14, 15, something like that.

First Corinthians 6, this is the Spirit of God through Paul, addressing the church at Corinth.

And we're a part of the same church.

So this is written to us just as much as it was written to them.

He said among other things in verse 12,

he said, all things are lawful to me, but not all things are expedient.

All things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.

The Spirit of God is addressing them and actually correcting them because they have twisted the grace of the Lord into no restraint.

Everything's okay. Anything's okay. Everything's okay. No big deal. Cause we're not under the law. This is a wrong mentality.

And he's correcting this. The Spirit of God is. And what he's revealing to them is the importance of the body.

The value of the physical body, and it's importance to God, because

they were, you know, it was part of the, I don't know, the Greek philosophies, you know,

they worshipped a myriad of gods and goddesses.
