In our circles, you are world-renowned. You're here to talk about your latest book. Welcome, Ian Davis, to talk about the technocratic dark state and all that that implies. How you doing, Ian? I'm very well. Thank you very much for inviting me, Monica. It's really nice to be back again. It's always a pleasure to talk to you. And I wanted, you know, I just saw some of the things that you

were working on lately and I wanted to talk to you about all of them. And I realized that they

are all in your latest book, The Technocratic Dark State. So we're never going to get through

all of it, but we might get through the few things that I wanted to highlight,

and I recommend that people get the book. You sent it to me, and I expected to be able to just

blow through it. I can usually blow through the books, but it was robust. It's not like

overly long. It was robust. It was very well written. It was very comprehensive. And it was

gripping. And I did blow through it, but it just took me more than I think more time than I thought.

But it was very edifying. And there's some concepts in there that I think might be worth

delving into. But before we get to some of those few specifics, I want to highlight,

can you tell me why you felt this book had to be written and how long it took you and how you got your mind around the concepts and did your research, or is that too much to ask?

Is that your trade secrets? No, no problem. No trade secrets. I just, well, in terms of research,

I just do it the traditional way.

I don't use AI or anything like that.

I read documents and I read reports and I pick through information and try to make sense of it and

read terrible things like the dark enlightenment and try to understand them, which is not easy,

I have to say, you know, and put things together. And one of the reasons that I wrote the book,

the book is about the clique of Silicon Valley oligarchs that are behind the Trump administration.

Some people often refer to them as the PayPal Mafia or the tech bros or the

techno kings or I think that there's more, there's more, it's a bigger network than that. And they're
