And my name is Jason. And this is the Talking Dead number 691, recorded on November the 11th, 2024.

We're having some technical difficulties tonight, everyone.

We're going to see how this goes and fingers crossed that everything is fine.

Everything will be fine.

That's what we hope, yes, that everything will be fine.

Now, as we get started tonight, it is November the 11th.

I think maybe, Jason, this is the first time we've ever actually recorded on Remembrance Day.

That is what we call it here in Canada.

Down south in the U.S., it's Veterans Day. And of course, everyone knows

it marks the end of World War I. We remember and honor all those we lost in the war. And typically

here in Canada, and I'm not sure if this is the same in the States, but we observe a moment of silence

at 11, 11 AM, and we wear poppies around for a couple of weeks leading up to November 11th.

And I don't think, like nobody says happy remembrance day, because that would be weird.

You just sort of observe the day, right?

And it's worth acknowledging here on the podcast, I think, because we're actually recording,

and there's nothing silent about this recording, but, you know, it's not a federal holiday

in Ontario, although it is in some provinces, but it's certainly worth acknowledging.
