This is The Talking Dead, a podcast dedicated to the AMC TV show The Walking Dead.

0:20.4

Hello, everyone. Welcome to The Talking Dead podcast. My name is Chris. My name is Jason.

0:33.8

And this episode was recorded on Monday, February the 6th, 2023. Welcome, one and all. We are back for another week, and I'm very excited. How you doing, Jason?

0:43.7

I am doing moderately fine. Chris, how are you? On the scale of fine. You're at the moderate level. I'm in the moderate side of fine. Okay. Thank you for asking. How are you? I'm okay. On the scale. I mean, what's what's one step above moderate?

1:03.0

I don't know. I don't even I don't even know. Like passable. So, uh, passable. No, that might be tolerable. That might be lower than moderate. I don't know. tolerable. tolerable. Yeah.

1:12.0

Let's just say I'm doing okay. Okay. Good. You know, things are progressing. Yeah. Time keeps marching on at one second per second. Yeah. Uh, yeah, not bad. Not bad. Um, so it's been a week since we recorded, which is good. Sometimes during the off season, we go every two weeks. But I kind of like going every week, especially when we have fun things to do. And boil, boy, do I think we have some fun things to do tonight. Super. Yeah. Good.

1:42.0

Uh, the first thing I want to talk about real quickly, though, is that speaking of fun things, I put to get like I stayed up late a whole bunch of nights last week. Yep. And I, I regret that not because of what I accomplished, but because of how crappy I felt for a few days there after staying up really late for three or four days in a row. Yeah.

2:03.9

But I stayed up late because I was putting together a new website for the podcast. Cool. So if you go to talking dead podcast.com right now, you will see the new website. And it's not drastically different than the old one, but it's a little bit different. And it solves a few issues or resolves a few issues. I had with the old one that long standing things that I've always sort of been unhappy with.

2:32.5

And the new one fixes those. So that's I am happy with good. It's moderately extremely different. It's moderately extremely different. That's right. On this on the scale of extremely different going from, you know, not extremely different at all to terribly extremely different. This is moderately extremely different. Yeah, I'm not even it might not even be that far, but you're you're in the right neighborhood there. Right. And so it's it's like 23% extremely different.

3:00.8

Something like that. Exactly. If you had to put a number on it. Right. But 100% better. So I don't know. Right. Okay. So it's all good. Yeah. So talking to podcast.com, which is, of course, the domain. You go there. New site.

3:15.3

Things that remain the same Jason are the latest episode of our podcast is at a big sort of banner section at the top. Super below that is some recent episodes.

3:27.9

You also have the two, you know, funco pictures of us and then a bunch of links to subscribe on different different podcasting platforms. So that's all good. Also the same as the send voicemail link is at the top. Right. However, the important differences are such things like the send voicemail link at the top is much more prominent and obvious now. So I think that's good. That's good.

3:53.2

The the latest episode at the top now uses the like featured image instead of just the static microphone image that the old one used to hide a little more variety there.

4:06.7

And on the old website, the latest episode at the top in the banner section was duplicated below in the most recent episodes. No longer the case. So there's a duplication problem that that has been resolved.

4:22.1

So little things like that are better. I just think it's great. And I hope everyone likes it and finds it simple to use. Well, I from one applaud your sacrifice. Thanks, man. Yeah. Is there do we have, do we have our own cryptocurrency on this one?

4:40.1

No, I'm still working on that. All right. So okay. And then the NFTs. You're still setting that up. Yeah, no NFTs. No NFTs. I don't think I'll be getting there anytime soon.

4:50.1

Yeah, but what if you wanted to download a non-fungible version of the of an episode is pay for that to have just your own copy of the episode of the podcast.

5:02.4

I mean, I guess it depends on how much people would be willing to pay because if it's a lot, I'm willing to do it.

5:07.7

Yeah, but the thing about it is that, you know, if 300 people want to download a non-fungible copy, they can all do that.

5:15.3

Like, there's nothing stopping you from having your own non-fungible copy because there's there's 300 at least 300 individual $20 bills out in Canada, at least 300. Like, there's got to be probably more than 300, but there's at least $320 bills.

5:31.5

And those are non-fungible because they're just students are actual individual copies. Uh-huh. Right. So you could do the same thing with the episodes. All right. Well, I'll think about it. I don't know. Yeah.

5:41.6

The other thing that's better is that the audio player is just looks nicer and it's um, styled a little bit better on the old one. Sometimes the download button got lost and crunched in in the progress bar was no good. So that's improved as well. So I'm very, very happy with this website, even though it lacks non-fungible episodes.
