Wow. Happy New Year everyone if it's appropriate to still say that, I mean, I know we are 16 days past the new year, but here we are,

2023.

Eh, you got until Easter.

No, that's too long.

You can't say happy New Year's or someone in long. You can't say happy new years or someone in April.

You can't if you haven't seen anybody. If you haven't seen them before, if you've seen them, like, I wouldn't go upstairs and say that to your wife, happy new year, because you've seen, I assume, I don't want to make any real assumptions,

I'm going to go ahead and assume that you've seen her between New Year's Eve and today.

Once or twice, once or twice.

Once or twice. We cross paths. You wouldn't say to her, but if it's somebody that you haven't seen, you've got a longer leeway.

And I think that you're pretty good till Easter, right?

But don't you think that you have to factor in the closeness of the relationship as well?

Like someone you're closer to, a family member who maybe you don't see very often,

like a cousin or something, you could say happy new year in March but if it's just like a a business

colleague or something after a few weeks just let it go you don't need to wish

someone a happy new year if if it's just a casual acquaintance. Yeah I'm I'm not big on the social

conventions of that kind of thing but I would say yeah I guess if you're a little bit

closer because it can be more of a joke after you know after a few weeks right you know it's

been two weeks since since new years we've come back to work and people are still saying

happy new years you have a good holiday kind of thing?

That you know I talked to in a regular basis,

but I haven't talked to since the new year.
