And the males do this because it's dangerous, because if you go to the top of rock, you'll get eaten by fish. But the female crabs climb to the top of rock, and then they open up their little pouch, and then they use their arms to flick out the eggs, and the eggs are hatching out, and all of their offspring and larvae goes and spreads all over the sea and becomes plankton, and then finally turns into crabs. parasite which is actually a type of barnacle which infects crabs and it hijacks that mechanism. So when

But what the barnacle does is it goes down and eats the male crab's genitals, so he no longer has testicles or anything. And then changes its hormone level so it grows a pouch, and then changes its brain so that it thinks it's a female, and then it climbs to the top of a rock and does the little female dance and pushes it all out.

So what I'm saying is the reason why you get trans crabs is because barnacles have eaten their brain.
