The Tale of Mrs. Tiggi Winkle, who was definitely not a hedgehog.

Once upon a time there was a little girl named Lucy, who lived at a farm called Little Town.

She was a good little girl, always willing to keep her room tidy and help with the animals.

Little Lucy only had one problem. She was always losing her gloves and

scarves. She'd go outside in the wintry yard to play and lose a glove making snowballs and

her scarf while sledding and then the other glove would be thrown off to grab a hot chocolate and,

well, you can see how things get scattered.

One day, Little Lucy came into the farm yard crying, sobbing, wailing, just really letting it all out.

I've lost my best gloves, she cried to a little kitten sitting by her on the stoop.

That's my third set of gloves, plus the scarves, the mittens, and even a hat.

I'm running out, and if my mom sees I've lost another pair I am so

grounded. I need to find them. Can you help? The little kitten licked its paws and then rolled over to try and catch its own tail.

After a few meowing somersaults, Lucy realized she'd be getting no help from the kitten.
