Summary

The Tale of a Tree is a quiet story featuring a Douglas Fir tree who lives in a yard. Once Tree gains awareness of the world around him, he begins to see strange things. Fir trees begin to arrive in the neighborhood in the backs of trucks and on the tops of cars. People place them inside their homes, in the windows, with views of the street. After a while, they decorate them. Tree doesn't understand these new developments. They raise questions about his own life and future that he must explore and ultimately accept. Enjoy! 0:14.5	It is so cold where I am.
0:19.0	There's frost on the windows and a howling wind.
0:24.5	But I'm huddled inside my little studio and I've got a fire in the fireplace, of course.
0:33.9	So it's nice and cozy.
0:37.8	And this is exciting.
0:40.0	The studio spiders and beetles are asleep.
0:44.2	I got an email from them just a few minutes ago that announced they're participating
0:50.3	in a sleep study for important research purposes.
0:57.0	And they expect that if I do tell a story today, it will be a quiet one.
1:03.6	I do defle through my original story out the window.
1:07.9	It would have been much too loud.
1:11.0	There were sword fights and also gibbons.
1:15.3	This new story, it's perfect for sleep.
1:20.4	So cozy up with your blanket, settle in, and get ready to hibernate.

1:34.6	Remember, there are no pictures.
1:38.8	You'll have to imagine the pictures in your mind.
