It's nestled in a valley called Lachenthal in the Swiss Alps.

And it's very isolated to get there.

You're driving for hours on these incredibly narrow,

hair and bend roads through the mountains.

And when you do arrive, the valley is incredible.

Recently, Guardian Reporter and editor, Tess McClure went on a trip to Switzerland.

There's a ring of snow-capped mountains in every direction around you.

And then down in the valley itself, it's this really lush, vibrant green.

It's been a really hot spring this year, so there's wildflowers everywhere.

You can get the birds, you can sometimes hear some cowbells.

And then along the course of the valley, there are these dotted villages.

They're really small villages, often a few hundred people.

Some of them are very old.

They date back to the 13th century or earlier.

So it's this incredibly picturesque, really beautiful place.
