Welcome to Searchlight, a survey through Scripture with Pastor John Corson.

It is our desire to bring you a systematic study of the entire Bible,

chapter by chapter, book by book.

On our last Searchlight program, we began looking at an often misunderstood and misused story from

the book of Acts. In chapter 19 we see people collecting the sweat bands of Paul and

through these sweat bands people were healed. One of the things that we learned

last time was that there was nothing magical about the sweatbands themselves.

They were simply a point of contact for people that allowed their faith to be released.

The same is true for things like the laying on of hands and the anointing of oil.

As we join our teaching in progress today, we are finishing up some thoughts on this issue. But then we will consider

a final point about this story, which is very powerful and practical for us today. With our study,

here now is Pastor John. It all has to do with perspective. How do you view these things?

If you look at the laying on of hands as
