I've just been laid off, I don't know what to do, I've been in XYZ for my entire life,

I'm so shocked and upset, what do you recommend? And I'll be honest, every time I get this message,

it's a gut punch. Because in our society, our identities are so closely tied to what we do

for a living. And when we lose one of the biggest defining factors of who we are,

it can feel like we've lost a little piece of ourselves. And I'm not saying that's how it should be,

but it certainly is how it can feel. And I've been so lucky that I've never personally been laid off,

but I wanted to be able to give thoughtful advice so I knew we had to have a guest who has.
