Last night, the NBA returned in a big way with the NBA on NBC.

So any kid that grew up in the 90s got all the warm fuzzies when they heard this intro right after the local news at 630.

Because they had an hour-long pregame show.

And the John Tesh tune is a, it just warms the heart.

now I Now, I was at hockey last night just like you were,

but I made a point to go back and watch the pregame show.

And it, uh, just hearing that, I mean,

1994 all over again.

Sometime we're going to have to power rank our network sports theme songs.

Okay. That's an elite one.

It could be number one. I don't know.

But yeah, hearing it for the first time, because yeah, I watched the Laker game when I got home and they would play it, you know, coming in and out of break.

I was like, oh, this feels so nice. It feels special. Exactly. It's a weeknight. Basketball's on. So we had an hour-long pregame show, and much like the ticket, they had a technical e-break, pretty much right off the top. So you have them just four-person panel. You got Vince Carter standing there with a microphone.

Tracy McGrady's next to him. And I guess TMAX Mike wasn't working. So Maria Taylor is,

you know, asking them questions and he goes into it. And he can't hear anything. He even said

he couldn't hear very well before the segment began. That should have been an indicator that

things were going to go sideways.
