I want to talk some Rangers quickly last night.

It was a frustrating night on Diamond Talk as the Rangers lose four to three to a team that isn't very good.

Mike Burroughs went seven innings and only through 91 pitches as the offense yet again didn't do a lot outside of Jock Peterson, who is in the leadoff spot, who had two home runs last night.

His first multi-home run game since 23, first as a Ranger.

That was good to see.

But they produce a run in the first inning and then leave a couple on.

And after that, it was all pretty much quiet outside of Jock.

Yeah, and like we said yesterday, you can be happy the night that a team scores eight runs in one inning and goes on to win.

You wake up the next day.

It's like, okay, let's see them run this back because consistency has been a huge issue with this team.

And I mean, we still kind of ripped the team yesterday of like, okay, show us again.

We talked crap about this team a couple days ago and they went out and proved us wrong for that one game, but we need to see that they can do this multiple times against bad teams.

The Astros are not good.

They have good bad.

Yordaun Alvarez is an assassin, which we saw again last night.

Four home runs in this series now.

DeGrom gave up the first last night.

DeGrom wasn't bad.

Six innings, two runs, enough to potentially get his 100th career win, but he's stuck on 99 because of

this offense. And Skip Schumacher has, I don't know if the public is a big fan right now because the team

is struggling and nobody knows what to make of this offense. But in the eighth inning last night, a lefty and Tyler Alexander.

Now luckily Chris Martin got out of the little jam in the seventh, so Yordon did not come up.
