And they did not give up a first inning run in all three games this weekend.

And the trend we saw this weekend, something I've mentioned for a couple years now is needing to see consistency with this Rangers offense.

Like we had, you had that one inning with the eight run outburst against Houston over the week last week.

And that was really all you got.

Like, I'm not satisfied with that.

It doesn't do anything when you get no hit the game before

and then you just can't do anything against mid pitching. And you had a really good output on

Friday night, the big first inning, the shutdown inning in baseball, especially with this team,

with how we've said that if you give up a crooked number in an inning, that feels like it can be the ballgame. Like if Yordon hit a two or three run home run, it's like, oh, that's it. You don't have to worry about the rest of it. With the Rangers pitching that they've had, especially if it's early on and you don't give up a run in the first, you put up a crooked number at the bottom of the inning, and then you have a shutdown inning. Like it's just, you can just breathe easy. Yeah, for sure. And I like that Friday night game to see a little bit of slug. Because at this ballpark, the Rangers don't hit a ton of home runs. We were joking about how they've saved a lot of money on fireworks this year by

having the home team not hit home runs. But then Brandon Nemo hits a deep shot on Friday night,

435, like to the upper part of the first deck in right field, which is a little surprising. And even

more surprising, bottom of the six, new ranger Nikki Lopez, who's gone through a hell of a week

with his grandfather dying two Thursdays ago.

And then he gets DFAed by the Cubs, gets picked up by the Rangers.

And then he hits his first home run on a line shot that snuck over the wall into the bullpen.

At that point, it was church as the Rangers were up eight to nothing.
