We need to talk about an NFL slash football item that popped up over the weekend.

And we didn't have time on Cowboy Monday.

But we got the word.

When did word of first come down on this?

Let's start this timeline Saturday morning.

Because I heard about this soon before the 11 a.m. kickoffs, we started getting word that Mark Sanchez, who calls games for

Fox now, he was in Indianapolis to call the Colts Raiders game. We saw that he was stabbed

overnight in Indianapolis. And there was really no other context, nothing else, but we see, man,

this guy's, this guy was stabbed. He was probably out getting drinks or some food or something. We don't really think too much about it, but we see him as a victim. And we start seeing, you know, tweets. We start hearing rapport saying, man, our thoughts are with Mark Sanchez. Well, and by all accounts, he is a good guy. Sure. He's always been a good locker room guy. When he was a cowboy, he really helped to usher along the young Dak Prescott. And he's been in the booth. So he's a

very familiar face. And yeah, he's the author of the butt fumble, but he takes that in stride.

And I think he's been decent in the booth. So this was a guy that didn't have a lot of like warts

to his name.

For sure. And it is, you first see it and you feel bad for the guy and his family and

everything. You see that he's in the hospital. But you want to know the full story. It's like,

okay, what happened here? We think that Mark Sanchez is a good dude. We haven't seen him get in trouble before. I still need to know what happened. You know, you need to wait until you get all the information. But people did not wait.

They were. When do they ever wait these days? Exactly. You live in a world where there's social media, everybody has a, you know, a platform to just say whatever the hell they want.

And everybody wants to feel that visceral instant gratification or that whatever they want to amplify in the moment.

That's how they're feeling they put that out there instead of, you know, letting the police do work or journalists do work.

Yeah.

There's people in Indiana making this political,

trying to, for their political gain,

saying this happened in a city and it's not safe.
