Let's talk some defense here, Sean. And we've all complained about it. The zone defense has looked bad. We heard that Schottenheimer was in defensive meetings this past week. And what do we see yesterday? The Cowboys run almost 50% man to man. And it looked beautiful. It looked so beautiful. It's third down. Yes. And you're not having giant windows to throw to open receivers. You have a Duran Bland on your roster. And look, I'll give the secondary a lot of kudos yesterday. You didn't have your top corner in Diggs. And you were able to go out there and you were able to limit Jane Daniels and Marcus

Marriota to, I believe, what, 16 total receptions or completions yesterday. You were able to slow down a very

good Washington run game because Cliff's been scheming that up nicely and you hold them to, you know,

136 yards. But that's a far cry from what she did the previous week

getting gashed by Carolina. That was nice. And everyone on the defense will tell you they prefer

to play man defense over zone because you get to play more free. You're sticking with your man.

You can be looser. When when Trouon Diggs is back, you can you can kind of bait quarterbacks into making

throws. When you're in zone, it's more complicated. There's a lot of communication going on.

You're you're kind of stuck into your zone and they're not used to playing that as much.

And I'm not saying you have to eliminate the cover two and the cover three altogether.

But if you're going 50-50, like I will take that.

Well, what does that do?

It puts question in the quarterback and coordinators and head coach's mind of like,

what is this team about to roll out?

They always talk about being multiple.

Well, being multiple makes you make the other side question themselves.

And I think they did that pretty well yesterday.

I think total was a 48% man coverage yesterday.

Yeah, a little over 48.

But it felt like the majority of that happened on third down, which was good.

And this was the worst third down team in the NFL.

And they were much better yesterday at getting off the field.
