Yesterday, of course, was the Cowboys State of the Team.

End of year press conference. Jerry talked for almost an hour and, you know, listening to

the hard line yesterday on my way home and just how much everybody views those and listens

to those the same way. It's 99.9% just BS.

But you have to sift through it to actually find something worth thinking about.

I wanted to hear Brian Schottenheimer talk when he's with the other two.

I want to see what he actually says.

When he's allowed.

Very little.

And there's some things that, yes, if you read between the lines, if you listen to it with the context, maybe you can see something that they're planning on doing in this offseason.

And I think that's where we should go with our big damn deal of the day here.

Something that we didn't get to yesterday, Brian Schottenheimer talking about, he was asked about Tyler Smith. Tyler Smith an all pro guard he was paid a top of the market guard deal and we saw late in the season moving him over to the left tackle and that's something that's been talked about really since he got drafted is this guy going to be a guard or is he going to be a tackle?

Right well he was a tackle at Tulsa and he played tackle some his rookie year and he was great.

But yeah, you're right. He's a better guard. I think he likes being an all pro now because of the

failures and the injuries of Tyler Guyton, there's a good chance guidance your right tackle or they move

on from him. I'm not sure. Obviously, the Terrence Steel part of this equation factors into it because

you can maybe move off his money this offseason. And shot he sat down. He said he sat down with

Tyler Smith and I'm guessing Tyler Smith wants to still be an all pro, but just reading between the lines, it looks like Tyler Smith might be your left tackle to start next year. Tyler Smith told him that he was going to meet with you about left tackle, left guard. What was that conversation like? Did you come to a decision about where he'll play in the future? Yeah, it was great. Actually, Tyler and I just had it, Tommy. And I was explaining to him. I said, hey, I think, you know, we feel that you're an incredible all-decade type guard. But at the end of the day, you're such a good player that at the end of the day, we have to play the five best guys. And in no way, shape, or form do I think that we can't with a full year of Guyton and Nate Thomas and those guys and in no way shape or form do i think that we we can't with a full year of
