Actually, fall is here.

It's a peak autumn in the Pacific Northwest which is really great.

The Supreme Court just struck down a lower court ruling.

This was from the three judge panel in Michigan in the Eastern District of Michigan ruled back in

April that 34 of Michigan's state voting districts had been specifically designed, their language

specifically designed to disadvantaged Democratic voters

deliberately diluting the power of their vote to ensure a particular partisan outcome.

They called this a pernicious practice that undermines our democracy.

So this went to the Supreme Court and John Roberts in a five to four decision. Conservatives all said

Jerry Mandirate in Michigan is just fine and the four liberals were like this

shouldn't be happening this violates democracy.

Alana Kagan wrote a just an absolutely you know rip them a new one

response to this for saying I think it's important to underscore that fact the majority

disputes none of how Jerry Manders

undermine democracy. In other words all the Republicans agree yes Jerry Manders

did undermine democracy in fact she, she continues, indeed, the majority concedes,

really how could it not, the jury mandarin is incompatible with democratic principles.

And she said this in the bench, right, which means that she was like really punching this stuff out.

And I mean this is the power of the Supreme Court.
