Summary

join your horror hosts Kimmi & Jon as they close out their look back at the movies that defined The Summer of 2016. It was the year Beyonce released Lemonade, it was also the year that Nightmare on Film Street published its first episode, but more importantly, it was the year that David F. Sandberg raked in $148 Million at the box office with his super spooky, semi-forgotten debut feature Lights Out.

Lights Out was so dang scary and so effective that it pretty much set the template for every popular horror movie that come after it. And for good reason. It's still scary today! Heck, even NOFS Podcast's own Kimmi can't watch big chunks of this movie without covering her eyes. And somehow, Light Out isn't a movie that you hear horror fans talking about much at all these days. Why is that? How does a movie with an ultra-spooky villain, that scares the pants off of everyone that sees it, fall by the wayside after only a few short years? If you've been asking yourself the same question, Join usssss....
