There are so many weird things that have happened in reality because of the COVID pandemic.

And one of the weird ones are all the odd random shortages and backlogs on things.

Patio furniture.

There's a shortage of patio furniture, which surprised me.

And here's why.

Because I figured that last year people probably weren't buying stuff.

You were getting furloughed from your job or maybe laid off.

You didn't know what the future was.

So I thought, well, the stores will have a bunch of things, you know, just kind of collecting dust.

But no, the patio furniture shortage is real.

And part of the reason for it is like for example at one store

they've been waiting for half a year for a shipping container to get here from vietnam loaded up with

wicker patio furniture and they've already sold half of what's in the container just by customers looking at

photographs. But the ship that was carrying the patio furniture, I guess just kind of wandered around
