Last yesterday earlier, there was a panel and I was on it on, what was the day before,

on inerancy, the inerancy of the Bible, and Simon Gathercole was sitting beside me.

He's a professor of the University of Cambridge in England.

And over here was Peter Williams, the warden at Tindale House in Cambridge.

And then there's Mark Devber leading it and

Al Moler president of Southern Seminary here and and who was over here Liganduck and I'm not

sure anyway why is the Bible true is it absolutely true and just as it was coming to an end Mark Devra turns to me and he

says okay John just tell these folks a thousand 8,000 folks, no preparation, don't know what questions are coming,

why do you believe the Bible is inherent?

Why do you believe the Bible is true?

Just give us a short answer to why you believe the Bible is true, which I was very happy to do.

Here's what came out of my mouth. I had not given any thought to this at all.

and we're supposed to think about it.

But what I was going to say, I hadn't thought.

And I said, that kind of question always requires a layered answer.

There's a lot of levels at which one believes things. So here's the first reason

my mama told me it was true. That's what I said.
