1:10.0	So for those of you who aren't familiar with Oman, let me briefly describe where it is.
1:15.4	The majority of Oman is in the southeastern corner of the Arabian Peninsula.
1:20.3	By sea, it borders the Gulf of Oman Oman which sits between Oman and Iran as well as the Arabian Sea
1:26.3	which is part of the Indian Ocean.
1:28.7	In the southwest it borders Yemen and in the northwest it borders the United Arab Emirates.
1:34.0	Its interior border Saudi Arabia in the vast desert and dunefields of the empty quarter.
1:40.0	That describes most of Oman.
1:42.6	But there is another part of Oman, which is an exclave that is separated from the rest of the country.
1:48.0	Jutting into the Strait of Hormuz, the narrow entrance to the Persian Gulf
1:52.0	is the Musendam Peninsula has a very low population, but its northernmost tip does have
1:59.2	one of the craziest geological formations you're going to see anywhere on Earth.
2:03.0	If you look at it on a map, it looks like a fractal pattern that you would see generated by a computer.
