Welcome back to the Greg Hill Show, Courtney in for Greg. He's off to Nantucket. We've got Wiggy, we've got Curtis, we've got Shime and Jackson. Everybody else got their leads in, but I still need to do mine.

Quick one for me today. A little bit of an update because we brought up smelling salts the other day when it comes to the NFL, and it seems like beep, beep, beep, they're backing it up.

0:20.1

The NFLPA is informed players that it just goes to the teams.

0:26.2

The teams are no longer allowed to give out smelling salts or any type of ammonia inhalant

0:32.8

during pregame activities, games, and halftime on the sideline or in the locker rooms.

0:37.4

But it seems as though players themselves can bring in smelling salts and do it on their own. What do you think next road show? We all do it right before. Just to see what, you know, what it does? I do it on Monday if someone brings them in. Yeah, I've done it a million times over. I used to have them. So, okay, so basically you can go to Amazon, buy a bunch of them,

take them in the locker and with you.

0:59.2

All right, I guess if that's what they, you know, if the NFL feels like, all right, this

1:03.6

is our way of keeping our hands clean of it.

1:06.5

But the NFL owners are such hypocrites.

1:09.1

Like, so you're concerned about the player's safety, so you're getting rid of smelling salts. But, oh, Wednesday night football on Christmas, we're going to play three games after your last game. Yeah. What's more damaging to your body? Exactly. And it's like the concussion protocol thing. Like, yeah, okay, maybe the concussions can be covered up if you're, if you take a hit of the smelling salts and you can, it's harder for the medical staff to figure out if you have a concussion or not. Oh, really? That's basically what they were saying. Yeah, that's why I was. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It was that the, if you suffer a concussion and you smell smelling salts, it's harder for the medical staff to, to determine if you are concussed. Why? Because the smell and salt like wakes you up. Wakes you up from that like potential concussion. Yeah. Yeah. So that's basically what they're saying. To me, this seems like Roger Goodell heard the outrage, whether it's from George Kittle or other people, and said to the NFLPA, like, oh, no, no, no, no. I'm just saying the teams can't give it out. I don't really see the difference. But in my mind. It keeps their hands clean if something does happen. Yeah. It keeps their hands very clean of something. I mean, I used to use it every series. Like guys, you know, some guys use it. George Kittle said he uses it for every play. Yeah, I don't know about every play.

2:17.6

He said every play.

2:18.6

Yeah, every drive, every series.

2:17.9

You know, like you're on the sidelines, come back from a TV timeout, get a couple quick hits and smell it. And what, it just energizes you? No, it's just like, you know, it's like if you ever smelt something that is like, wow, that just kind of went up in your nose and just like horse radish yeah like

2:35.6
