Hello, there is so much chat at the moment about how students are getting on,

either because they're going to university for the first time and Fresh as Week is really

different in the pandemic or they're at one of the universities with an outbreak

and they're basically confined to their halls or they're rented flat and it's a little bit grim.

So I thought, who could we check in with that's at university

and is a fantastic broadcaster?

And I thought of Catherine Royce from TU Extra the student radio station at T-side University

who we had on this week. Hello Catherine.

Hi yeah how you doing I'm good thanks how are things on your campus?

Well the role a little bit strange really at the minute because usually with

freshers week there's there's loads activities going on there's students absolutely

everywhere like all sorts going on on campus but there's just nothing this

year right and is there an

outbreak or any cases where you are? We haven't been specifically told we've got an

outbreak at our university we've not been told anything like that but the

university still hasn't been allowed to run its usual activities

that it would have wanted to given different circumstances.

And have you been able to see your uni friends? Not as of yet. All of our scheduled in time starts from next week and I think

I'm in for two hours next week. Okay you're in for two hours of uni next week that's it.

Yes yes the majority of everything else is going to be online okay

it is really different isn't it yes would you know how to get a test or anything or
