Summary

In today's episode, we grapple with the notion that if you can't break it down to a child, how can you truly grasp it yourself? We'll journey into the world of 'hardship', as interpreted through the poignant insights of The Velveteen Rabbit. Paying tribute to Thich Nhat Hanh, we'll explore the concept that when you immerse yourself completely in each fleeting moment, you are indeed fully experiencing life itself. Let's dive in, shall we, in 3...2...1.

It's a thing that happens to you. Hmm. Does it hurt? asked the rabbit.

1:30.4

Sometimes, said the skin horse.

1:34.3

When you are real, you don't mind being hurt.

1:36.9

Does it happen all at once?

1:40.4

I mean, like being wound up or bit by bed?

1:48.6

Oh, no, it doesn't happen all at once, said the skin horse. You become. It takes a long time.

Generally, by the time you are real, most of your hair has been loved off, and your eyes drop out,

and you get loose in the joints and very shabby. But these things, these things don't matter at all.

2:11.4

Because once you are real, you can't be ugly, except to people who don't understand.
