I was going to visit one of the shacks, so I took a small tin of one or two, three

sandwiches, but word got out. Mama is here and she's got a tin and so let's go and see what food,

because people are hungry. So they came and they came and they came and I'd opened the lid and I'd just handed out

sandwiches after sandwich after sandwich after sandwich.

There were cues of people and I just handed it out and when the last one had their sandwich, it was empty. Welcome, everybody.

Oh, that's so wonderful. So, I mean, in 1991, I was on my year route in South Africa

and I was serving in a Soutou Farm School in the middle of nowhere and what

was the Franz Valle and that's where my faith became real in the toughest of circumstances.

At that time you were the other side of the country and I mean the fact that you're still alive

is quite amazing because you're involved in townships and people said you're an absolute

fruitcake just going in there risking your life. Lots of naivity and God's protection and grace over
