It was one of the interesting things that I found when I was researching reactions to this film.

It's more of a split than I would

have expected. But some of the people who came down hard on it felt like the film was leaning

into nostalgia too much and it didn't have enough of a critical eye to what it was doing.

And that's mixed in with, oh, the characters are a little too shallow. They make stupid decisions.

There's none here to justify the runtime, blah, blah, blah.

And maybe we can go more to that when we're doing the plot or like, well, however we're

going to do this episode.

But I've heard the complaints about how stupid these characters are so many times.

And watching it last night, I don't think they're that stupid.

I don't think they're that stupid. I don't either. There is a lot of Scott Speedman going,

I'm going to be fine and then walking outside. But I also think that a lot of that is because

he still fucking pissed at her, Liv Tyler. Yeah. And what came through on this rewatch for me,

I always felt like they were a sympathetic couple and then rewatching it this time,

he is so mad at her throughout the, probably half of this film that, yeah, you're right,

he not only doesn't want to be around her, even when the shit is hitting the fan, but he
