Carrie Vaughn, the CEO of Love Worth Finding. You know, Carrie, I've really been

enjoying this series on the Parables of Jesus from Matthew 13 understanding the mysteries of the

kingdom of heaven. You know Matthew 13 10 and 11 the disciples came and said unto

Jesus why speaketh thou unto them in parables?

He answered and said unto them, because it is given to you to know the mysteries of the

kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.

You know, last week we played a little bit of an interview with Adrian Rogers

where he kind of broke this first down a little bit,

and I think it's worth going back to Byron and

pick up his comment and the use of the word mystery. We have to understand that the

word mystery as it is used in the Bible, is different from the kind

of a mystery that we would find in a Perry Mason story.

The word mystery in the Bible means a truth that you cannot know apart from divine revelation and that there's no way on earth that you could figure it out.

It's not a problem to be solved.

It's a revelation to be received.

Going back to our scripture of Matthew 13, 10, and 11,

Adrian Rogers also gave his insight into why Jesus started teaching

in parables.
