Every now and then somebody says, oh, there's some hypocrites in your church.

I say, do tell. Hey folks one of the 12 apostles was a hypocrite. Don't be dismay

hypocrites, counterfeit Christians, a false brethren and a false gospel have not taken

God by surprise. That's the whole point. These things don't prove what we believe not to be true. They're proof of what we believe is true.

Because men are counterfeiting that which is worthwhile and also because the Bible says that's exactly what will be to the end of the age.

Hypocrisy is a confusing and bewildering thing.

But there is a parable in Matthew, chapter 13 that serves as a word of comfort, warning,

and instructions for those caught in the web of hypocrisy.

Through the parable of the wheat and tears Jesus shows us how he deals with

counterfeits. If you have your Bible turn to Matthew 13 now. We'll begin in

verse 24 as we hear Adrian Rogers begin to tell the strange mystery of the counterfeit Christian.

I think you know that not everybody who claims to be a Christian is a genuine Christian.
