Halfway through Murder on Mount Olive's 10 episodes,

I thought it was time for a recap on some of the main players so far.

Season 4 of Suspicion focuses on the murder of husband and father Kim Gullum

at a neighborhood barbecue in 2009.

First, Chris Sheriff. Hi, my name is Christopher Sheriff.

I was Chris Chris of First to be a murder.

Chris was a star soccer player and aspiring carpenter,

who was serving a life sentence for a crime he says he didn't commit.

He was driving the car that police say carried the man who shot Kim Gull of dead.

Chris hopes that one day he'll be found innocent.

I will keep pushing. I will keep fighting for that.

And I am going to keep fighting for a rest of me down.

Then there's Doug Sandsom, the homicide detective on the case.

He doesn't think Chris was ever a hardcore gang member,

and he feels a little bit of sympathy for the young man,

who says all he did was give someone a ride.

Still, Sansom thinks he and his co-accused are guilty,

and that the jury made the right decision.

He was the driver, just like he says he was.

He, you know, he was the driver.

You park here, Asphalaug gets out, shoots him, jumps in the car and drives away.
