Before I tell you the amazing story being showcased in this episode for Levi,

I need to talk to all of you about something while it's extremely important.

Back in episodes 16 and 17, I told you the story of how Africans were brought to our country

and countries around the world as slaves for hundreds of years.

And I've told you numerous stories about the Civil War.

The war that was well, it very nearly divided our country in half.

The biggest cause of that war was the issue of slavery.

In several of our past episodes, I've talked to you about the issues of racism

and segregation that are unfortunately a part of our country's history.

And indeed the history of the world.

I know that this is a difficult topic and honestly, I wish I didn't even have to talk about it.

But since it exists, we all have to be brave and face it together.

Remember, we have to learn history in order to learn from history.

Racism and all of the horrible things that go along with it have roots in the sinful nature of mankind.

Humans are the ones who created the concept of races by classifying and organizing by geographical
