that staying in the grind, staying in the work, doing the work, it's all about delayed gratification,

right? Is that consistency does pay off. But to me, success is about the amount of consistent

time, energy, and effort that you put into anything is what's going to yield you the results.

You know, keep that focus.

It's very similar to the Chinese bamboo tree.

And so that was one of the biggest distinctions that I had early in my career.

And I think one of the first people heard tell the

story of it. I was probably 20 years old. I think it was less brown. And that is the parable of the

Chinese bamboo tree. How long does it take to grow the Chinese bamboo tree? So hopefully you'll

guys soon. No, I mean, the bamboo tree is a great analogy because most people don't marry the process,

right? So if it was easy, everyone

would be doing it. So the Chinese bamboo tree is one of the most widely stories ever told. And it's

told because you have this magnificent tree. And in order for this tree to come to harvest and come

out of the ground, you have to first plant the seeds and then you have to water and fertilize them. And it's a very fickle tree. So if you miss one day of watering or you miss one day of fertilizing, then the tree will die. You'll never see it come through the ground. And so when the farmers go out and they plant the trees, you know, they go back and they have to go back the next day and the next day and the next day and the next day. And then at the end of the first year, after that they've been out fertilizing and watering and taking care of those seeds for an entire year, guess how much of the tree they get to see? Guess how much it grows? Zero.

It doesn't move.

I mean, could you imagine going through a process of being diligent and being disciplined and you don't see the fruits of your labor for an entire year?
