The story of Moses may peace be on him.

Long ago, in the land of Egypt, a tyrant ruled, the Pharaoh, a man who claimed to be God,

who oppressed the children of Jacob, enslaving them,

killing their sons and letting their daughters live.

But Allah's plan was already unfolding.

A baby boy was born.

His mother, fearing for his life, placed him in a basket and set him afloat upon the Nile.

That basket drifted all the way to the palace of the Pharaoh himself. And by the will of Allah,

the Pharaoh's wife, Asia, took the child in.

Quarrata Ain'lis, a comfort to my eyes, she said, not knowing this child would one day challenge the Pharaoh.

The boy was Moses. May peace be on him.

He grew up in the very palace of the tyrant, raised as royalty, yet his heart belonged to the oppressed.

Years passed.

One day, in a moment of anger,

Moses may peace be on him,

struck a man and accidentally killed him.

Fearing for his life, he fled to Madian,

where he found refuge, he found a wife and peace. But Allah had a greater mission for him. On his return to Egypt, Moses may peace be on him, saw a fire on Mount Tor. There, Allah spoke to him directly.

Inneni an Allah, la ilaha, ilah, illa, lae laearnance,

fa abudani, and I am Allahe.

Indeed, I am Allah.
