Many of you have enjoyed using the Charlotte Mason Elementary Arithmetic series and have seen the wonderful results and the wonderful relations that your child makes with math concepts using this curriculum.

Today, I want to talk with Rochelle Baborana, the author of that series, and give you a little peek into behind the scenes. What's the story behind that series?

author of the Charlotte Mason Elementary Arithmetic series. That has been quite an

undertaking for you to write those books. Think all the way back. I'm trying to remember how it even

got started. I do remember one thing. You said you would never write the back. I'm trying to remember how it even got started. I do remember one thing.

You said you would never write the curriculum. I did say that. Oh, my goodness. That was a long time

ago. I'm trying to remember how long ago that was. We've had so many conversations since then.

Well, we can look at the publishing date.

Oh, that's true.

This was 2012 when I wrote mathematics and instrument for living teaching.

I was inspired by your laying down the rails, the habit training book.

And I loved the format of that.

And so I had written a blog post back when

we blogged. And I had sent, it had such an overwhelming response that I sent it to you and asked

if you thought that it could be expanded into a book like laying down the rails,

but with mathematics.

And you got back to me, you presented it to the team and got back to me, and you were interested,

and that started all of my, I've done a lot of in-depth research, but that actually started my

even deeper dive to befriend librarians in Scotland and in England and to visit Harvard

to get into their archives.

Because this was before the Charlotte Mason archives were online. Correct. Yeah,
