Let's go to 2 Peter, chapter 1 and we're going to read the first 11 verses they are

in.

2 Peter, chapter 1 and read like this, Simon Peter, a bond servant and a puzzle of Jesus

Christ.

To those who have obtained like precious faith with us by the righteousness of our God and

save your Jesus Christ, grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and

of Jesus our Lord as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life

and godliness through the knowledge of Him who called us, I'm going to make a correction

because in the New King James translation that word is by and it is accurate but it's

not the most accurate.

We start that word in the Greek it can be by or into and when I look at this verse in

its context a more accurate translation is not by the most accurate is not by it is actually

into.

So if we read it in that context it reads like this as His divine power has given unto

us all things that pertain to life and godliness through the knowledge of Him who has called

us into glory and virtue.

Yes by glory and virtue God is glorious and virtuous but this is what He is called you
