| 1:01.0 | We have just taken around five or six weeks break for the month of Ramadan. |
| 1:05.0 | And now we are returning to our series on the lives of the prophets and we're still doing our introductory session. |
| 1:13.0 | So insha'Allah before we dive into prophet after prophet, we have to talk holistically about the concept of the prophets and the rules and the responsibilities. |
| 1:22.0 | In our previous lecture before Ramadan, the last thing that we had discussed are what is called an Arabic khas'a isu al-ambiyah, the specialities of the prophets. |
| 1:32.0 | That there are certain things that the prophets are blessed with, certain privileges that they are given, that the rest of us are not given. |
| 1:40.0 | And of course obviously we would expect that because that's what makes them, prophets that Allah Azawajal has conferred upon them, certain privileges and certain responsibilities and certain tasks and chores that the rest of us do not have. |
| 1:51.0 | And we had begun this topic so we're going to continue today and insha'Allah next week will also be a very very interesting and somewhat even controversial one as you will see insha'Allah as we're going today. |
| 2:04.0 | So let us continue from where we left off and I'm assuming that you know you have listened to the previous lectures. |

| 2:11.0 | The next point that we have is the fact that the prophets are perpetually aware that their sleep is not like our sleep. |
| 2:22.0 | So when they go to sleep, their sleep is a different category than our sleep. |
| 2:27.0 | They are still connected somehow and they are aware in a way that we don't quite understand and of course we will never understand. |
| 2:35.0 | It is reported that our mother Ah, Isharad yallaahu a'nha asked the prophets, |
| 2:40.0 | sallallahu a'lihi wa sallam, that O Messenger of Allah, do you sleep before you pray the winter prayer? |
| 2:46.0 | And the winter prayer here means the night prayer or the tajjud we call it. |
| 2:51.0 | Do you sleep before you pray the winter prayer? |
| 2:53.0 | And the prophets, sallallahu a'lihi wa sallam said, |
