The Stories and the Songs is a new podcast series that focuses on the history and culture of Celtic the club as well as the supporters and players.
In episode one Chris Gallagher is joined by Lindsay Hamilton as they look into what effect World War One had on Celtic and Scottish Football.
We discuss the Celtic players that went to fight in France as well as looking briefly at the McCrae's Battalion. We discuss how football was used as a propaganda tool to get young working class men to enlist.
We discuss in detail Peter Johnstone, Donald McLeod and the incredible story of Willie Angus, recipient of the Victoria Cross.
