Surely the remake's called The Stepfather. No, no, they probably dropped the The. Yeah. Oh, that's how you know. It a different movie when you drop the the, yeah.

That movie came out around the time that, like, Prom Night got remade, and they dropped the the the from that as well.

Anyway, we are talking about...

No, it wasn't.

Okay, I was like, ew.

Yeah, so this is maybe the most gruesome mom core horror movie.

It was originally marketed as a thriller, which it kind of is.

Yeah, this feels like something I would watch on the women's network at 8 p.m.

Absolutely.

Premiering Friday night because you know you're not going out.

Nobody was really impressed by it, though, so they re-put it out as, like, the marketing, I mean, like they retooled it as a slasher movie, and it got a little bit more of a response. Yeah, the problem is it's not quite a slasher movie, but it is a great, dark psychological thriller. It has that made-for-TV vibe about it, and maybe because it does feel mom core,

but that's quickly, like, dashed as soon as we get the full reveal in the opening scene.
