Hello and welcome everyone to The Total Soccer Show.

My name is Taylor Rockwell.

And with me today is Peter Sarsgaard's new best friend.

It's Felipe Cardenas of the athletic.

Felipe, thank you so much for being here.

Yeah.

I did not exchange numbers with Peter Sarsgaard.

And I think that was my mistake. So I cannot call him my friend. I wish we were friends. But based on the interview, like he seems to be living in a log cabin with solar panels. That was my takeaway. So I don't even know if he has a cell phone.

He does have a cell phone. In fact, it wasn't in the story that I that I wrote for

the athletic that interview with Peter Sarsgaard, but he he did bring up the fact that being

out in Vermont in a rural area of Vermont, one of his daily objectives was to not be on his

phone. And for his daughters, he has two daughters to put their funds away as well.

So I think I asked him something about Twitter.

He has a Twitter account that has, his last tweet was like in 2018.

And that's when he said, oh, man, like I'm not on my phone anymore.

All right.

That's probably a good way to be.

But let's stick with that because we're going to talk South American World Cup qualifying. We're going to talk Atlanta United, a couple other things in there as well. But yeah, the Peter Sarsgaard one was a thing that you and Brooks sort of told me about when you all were on the show last time. And it had not yet been published. It seemed very like out there in terms of a premise. It felt like like Pablo

had been pitching some things and everybody at the athletic was like, you know what? I want to,

I want to pitch some random stuff too. And now the Peter Schar's Guard story has come to be.
