0:24.1	Now, a lot of people don't realize this, but you are, like my children, half Australian.
0:28.6	Yes, very probably.

0:34.9	Well, my father from East Texas, from the diocese where I am, a little town called
0:41.5	Clarksville, was in the Navy, Second World War, like so many, young man, teenager,
0:49.7	joined the Navy and ended up on what was called a destroyer tender, basically a maintenance
0:56.8	boat that followed the destroyers around.
0:59.2	Okay.
0:59.8	And he was stationed there in Sydney Harbor.
1:03.6	Met my mother.
1:05.1	As my mother told the story, they were on a launch.
1:09.3	We would call it a launch or a barge. A launch. But they met and married
1:16.8	and lived there about six months. They were married at St. Mary's Cathedral. They're in downtown
1:24.0	Sydney. And then my father heard about the GI Bill at that time to get an education as an ex-serviceman.
