the state of Star Wars, fall 2024 edition. And we are going to talk about our thoughts on the

current state of our favorite movie franchise right on the heels of a brand new live action

Star Wars show coming our way. So yeah, I'm John. Lacey is here and we are ready to roll. Lacey,

we have a lot to talk about. So I'm just going to get right after it real quick here.

A couple of things off the top because, like I said, loaded show.

Skeleton crew, the home world is being called a crown jewel of the old republic.

And John Watts went further to say there's definitely more to the planet than meets the eye.

Yes, I made a Transformers joke today about that.

But he said, we don't want to say too much.

And then that came via screen rant.

So one of the more interesting things to come out about this show, I think my mind,

probably your mind, a lot of fans' minds is this is Post Return of the Jedi, this is Mando timeline era. And all of a sudden you hear

old Republic and you're like, whoa, that can open up so many possibilities. So were you

was surprised when you heard that report or that reveal?

Definitely because, like you just said,

the Mandalorian Mandoverse stuff has kind of set the tone of where this is.

And we all just assumed like,

oh, they're going to reference probably original trilogy a little here,

maybe some Rogue One, nothing too crazy, maybe a couple prequel things, but like Old Republic, like that's, that's going back. And it's interesting

because I think Star Wars, as usual, is always dancing around what's canon and what's not.
