required a great deal of discretion. Sir Hardy Amies is a 91-year-old gay fashion designer.

He has dressed everyone from the 1966 England World Cup team

to Queen Elizabeth II

who became a client while still a princess.

And this BBC documentary team

is here to interview Amy's about his life and career,

including his lesser-known achievements

as a wartime spymaster.

The team's researchers have excavated documents suggesting that during the Second World War,

Amies led a secret mission to assassinate prominent Nazis and their collaborators.

The program makers hope that now, at the end of his life,

Amy's might reveal more about this clandestine operation.
