0:05.8	biblically about everything. What we're going to talk about today is how God
0:11.0	used the feasts of Israel to be a foreshadowing of Jesus Christ.
0:15.8	What I mean is he used the actual like holidays.
0:19.0	He gave them specific holidays, says I want you to observe these holidays and they're very detailed in how they're to be observed and that that like so many other things in the Old Testament it points us to Jesus Christ.

0:33.4	rewarding for you as you do it if you've done it before you may find that I'm not
0:37.8	covering certain things you want me to cover and there might be a reason for that I'll

0:46.0	But I will say there's intricate detail and when we look at the feast and we see pictures of Jesus, I think it's fair for us to call this
0:56.2	prophecy. It's like a type of prophecy. It's a kind of prophecy because it's a foretelling.
1:02.1	It's types and shadows written ahead of time
1:04.4	so it's telling you who him who is to come and it's a neat prophecy here's a
1:09.2	fancy term for you it's calendrical prophecy because it's about the calendar. It's the calendar of
1:15.0	Israel and it's the prophecy related to that because God didn't just give Israel
1:19.4	a law he gave them a calendar. Isn't that interesting? So Exodus chapter 12
1:25.2	verses 1 and 2 it actually talks about this. It says the Lord said to Moses and
1:28.4	Aaron in the land of Egypt, this month shall be for you the beginning of months. It shall be the first month of the year for you.
1:37.0	This is the month Nissan. Nissan is the first month, not just a car manufacturer, right, but if you use 1S instead of 2, it's the first month of the year here, the religious year for the Israelites.
1:50.0	And in this first month, he tells them you're going to observe certain feasts and we get the feasts of Passover, unleavened bread, and first fruits, and then we have Pentecost coming 50 days after those.
2:04.0	That's the first set of feasts in the calendar of Israel.
2:08.0	There's seven total. That's the first four.
