I am Mike Lupick at MLB.com in the New York Daily News, and welcome to the Thursday edition

of the Sports Reporters podcast.

And we are going to start with baseball because just in the last, I don't know, 24 to 48 hours, there has been a seismic shift in two

playoff series, not because the Braves got behind after the Dodgers came back on them in game

three, but because the Dodgers didn't build on it at all.

And then there are the Boston Red Sox who were six outs away from being three games to one up on the Houston Astros.

They don't get a called third strike call.

And since then, Bob, my math might be off, but I think the Astros have outscored them 37 to 1 since then.

Well, I believe it's 17 to 1 that we be completely correct.

And the Red Sox, since Zander Bogart's hit a two-run Homer in the second inning of that game.

First inning.

At first inning, yeah, so at the bottom of the first to answer a leader a homer they have scored uh one

run and uh they they they're just completely impotent at the at the moment and uh and given up two

really big innings a seven run ninth inning in game four and a five-run sixth inning last night.

Yeah, the script has flipped.

It's astonishing.

I mean, it is just a complete and utter turnaround.

And, you know, you just wonder, you know, if we're going to have any kind of a chance to stop the bleeding.
