I'm Mike Lupik of the New York Daily News and MLB.com and welcome to the Monday edition of the Sports Reporters podcast.

We will talk later in the podcast about the continuing implications and timetables of the

coronavirus.

At this point, it is ridiculous to think that anybody knows when sports

will be up and running. I mean, they've put, there's no way to know if baseball will start

on May 1st or June 1st or July 1st and when the NBA season and on and on and on.

This is, you know, speaking for the group, this is like nothing we have ever encountered in our adult lives.

And again, this is called the sports reporter.

So we're going to talk about sports today, completely understanding where this conversation fits into the whole crazy cock-eyed grand scheme of things with this country

slowly coming to a halt. And so if we are going to talk about sports today, we'll start with

the CBA in the National Football League, which will give us labor peace, but labor peace with some pain and some naysayers and some

people bitching about this.

And we could take a deeper dive into what they feel about benefits and everything else.

But the fact is that there's a lot of people, pissed off about this 17th game.

And it sounds like if there were no 17th regular season game and they're not adding a buy week,

this deal would have never even gotten to the table.

Well, no, the honors definitely are adamant about that.
