We're doing well, but we're not as good as you.

The queen of D.C. sports, who is presiding over the commanders coming back to their rightful

spot in D.C. The deal passes yesterday with a vote of 11 to 2 by the council.

Talk about how excited you are, how excited the residents are for this huge private investment.

The biggest in the history of D.C. coming to the Anacostia Riverbanks.

Well, I think D.C. residents are excited.

I think residents from around the region are excited and certainly fans of the commanders

are looking forward to 2030 opening day to bring the commanders back home.

Why was this so important to you?

Well, it's been important because we had 180 acres

that have been at various stages of vacancy and blight, and now we're finally taking down

the old RFK stadium. And in a city, our size, we need to make good use of that property. That's why we were

excited to work with the Congress. James Comer from Kentucky has been very helpful to us and getting

control of the land. And once we had that, we knew that we had the right partner in Josh Harris and the commanders.

Did it frustrate you that some of the council members last minute tried to slide in some amendments that the commanders are pushing back on?

Ultimately, it didn't matter. The vote still came in.
