Hello, Actressus Files fans.

Normally, I try to begin the show with a little bit of snark or a dad joke, or in many cases,

just an incredibly awful pun.

But this week, I think it needs to be different, especially in light of recent events, specifically

the horrendous murder of Charlie Kirk, who actually had Father Martins and I on his show

and helped promote the Exorcist Files, and we're really grateful for that. And I know so many of us

are feeling heaviness and sadness, and I just wanted to try and open us up with some encouragement today.

The Exorcist Files has been documenting the reality of spiritual warfare for three years now.

Part of that reality is that evil is real.

We have a real adversary.

The stakes are real.

And as Father Martens famously told me in one of our first meetings, this isn't a game, son. I think we only need to look around to acknowledge this fact. There are floods and there are fires. There's pestilence, injuries, illness, abject poverty and squalor, and of course, murders, and death.

Our world is full of darkness, something I know many of us, including myself, are just feeling

the weight of right now. And many times I just find myself asking, where are you in this,

Scott? But we know there's more to the story, right? Now having

interviewed and documented so many cases of spiritual warfare, I can honestly say it's just awe

inspiring to see how at that moment when all hope seems lost, those moments when the darkness

seems to have completely prevailed, it's at that moment we see God's genius

and his light burst through and come through in a way the only he can and somehow take the most

awful, the most horrendous things, and flip them, redeem them, and use them to advance the kingdom.

We see this all the time in the case files we've shared. Having studied this now for six

years, I can say, I know that I know that I know. God knows what he's doing. Lord knows I don't
