Turn with me to Romans, well, excuse me, let's go to 1 Corinthians 9 and then go to Romans 8.

First Corinthians 9 and Romans 8.

In 1 Corinthians 9 and the 27th verse.

The apostle by the spirit says,

I keep under my body and bring it into subjection,

lest that by any means when I had preached to others,

I myself should be a castaway.

I keep under my body. In other words, I keep my body under the control,

under control, and I is referring to the man on the inside. We're not a body. We're a spirit. We have a body.

Are we to control our bodies? Do you have to control your body even when you grow a lot in God? Did the Apostle Paul, did he know something about God? Had some revelation,

been caught up to glory, had all kind of revelation, wrote so much of different parts of the New

Testament, and yet he still had to keep his body under, didn't he? Well, then that means you'll

have to keep yours under. And if you don't keep your body under, it'll keep you under.

Huh? How many's lives, you know, different people's lives, I'm not asking for testimonies or hands raised,

but have you seen people or heard about people that their lives were messed up because they didn't control their body?

Messed up their marriage, messed up their family, messed up their ministry, because they didn't control their body.

We must control our body.

Now, the thing about it is when you got saved, your body didn't get born again.

The inner man did.

And the body is still the same, you know, as far as the structure of it as it was before you got saved.

And if you let it, it'll still do the things you would have done before you got saved.

You have to control your mind and you have to control your body.
