Proverbs 4 and 2 Corinthians 4.

We've been talking, speaking about the spiritual man.

And I think I'm just about through with this series.

We may finish it up tonight.

Because I think I'm kind of being stirred about some other things, which way to go after this.

I won't tell you yet.

But we've been talking about how that the Lord wants us to be spiritual and not carnal.

He wants us to be spirit-led, not flesh ruled.

And are you in Proverbs 4 yet?

We've been talking these last two or three Friday nights about how to maintain a strong spirit.

In Proverbs four and the 20th verse, he says, my son, attend to my words, incline your ear to

my sayings, let them not depart from your eyes, keep them in the

midst of your heart, for their life to those that find them, and health are the margin

says medicine to all their flesh. Keep your heart with all diligence for out of it, out of your

heart, or flow, the issues of life.

The amplified says, keep your heart with all vigilance and above all that you guard,

for out of it, out of your heart, flow the springs of of life the life that's in your flesh comes out of your spirit

when he says heart he's not talking about your physical blood pump you can't believe god with your

physical heart any more than you could your physical kidney or your lung.

Heart means the center, the core, like we say the heart of a watermelon, the heart of the oak or pine.

Well, the heart of a human being is the spirit, the inner man.
