The infamous catacombs of Paris are a series of underground tunnels that run for more than 200 miles beneath the city streets and house the bones of more than 6 million former Parisian residents.

According to legends, those who dare to venture into the catacombs after

midnight supposedly hear the walls talking to them, disembodied voices trying to lure adventurers

farther into the tunnels, encouraging them to lose their way, never to see daylight again, and to suffer a slow and agonizing death.

And I'm Anne Recovic and today we enter the Paris catacombs.

Anne and Renata have been investigating paranormal occurrences for the past 20 years.

They have been at the center of various unexplained phenomena

and have witnessed countless ghostly experiences.

The flickering candlelight illuminated the puffs of breath expelled by his heavy lungs.

The young soldier's chest rose and fell rapidly, partly from fear, partly from excitement.

The fear was the result of the hundreds of bare-eye sockets staring at him from the walls

surrounding the tunnel. The catacombs of Paris were certainly no place for the faint-hearted.

Luckily, the man's eagerness to complete his task dampened his uneasiness.

This reconnaissance mission was a voluntary position.
